After a tortuous few years for Finnair, the Helsinki-based airline and Finnish flag carrier is once again hiring new cabin crew.
Applications opened on September 5, 2023, and for this round of recruitment, the airline is looking for candidates who already have the right to live and work in the European Union.
Other essential criteria include:
- At least 18 years old
- Fluent in English
- Minimum height of 160cm
- At least one year of experience in hospitality or customer service
- Able to swim and in good health
Applications are only open for a short time and anyone interested will need to submit their application by September 18, 2023. The application process is being run by Barona recruitment agency on behalf of Finnair.
If your initial application is shortlisted, then expect a pretty tough recruitment process. Barona will further shortlist applicants with an online video interview and online assessments before candidates are invited for in-person assessment days where they’ll be assessed by both Barona and Finnair.
The whole application process is expected to take place in September and October 2023, and training courses will start from December 2023 onwards.
Fluency in Finnish is desirable but not compulsory, although you’ll need to be able to cover any tattoos as Finnair doesn’t yet allow cabin crew to have visible tattoos or piercings.
