You Have Until September 30 to Apply to Become Cabin Crew at Riyadh Air

Riyadh Air might be more than a year away before taking its first commercial flight, but the deadline to apply to become a member of cabin crew with Saudi Arabia’s new upstart airline is already fast approaching.

In the run-up to starting operations in early 2025, Riyadh Air is already hiring thousands of staff, including pilots, cabin crew, ground managers and even a ‘Fashion Manager’ who will be responsible for creating the airline’s new uniforms.

Despite the hype surrounding the airline, little is really known about how the carrier will operate and joining a brand-new company will certainly come with a lot of excitement and a fair amount of uncertainty.

If you’re interested in taking part in this adventure, then you’ll need to submit your application by September 30, 2023 – at least 15 months before Riyadh Air starts flying commercially in early 2025.

Like many carriers in the region, Riyadh Air is accepting applications from around the world and is currently looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Proficient in English (Arabic skills are preferable)
  • Educated to at least High School (Grade 12) level
  • Physically fit
  • Ideally, have at least one year’s experience in an aviation, retail, hospitality or a customer service role.

Perhaps unsurprisingly for an upstart airline, Riyadh Air also says it is looking for candidates who are already working as cabin crew for another carrier or have had previous experience in a cabin crew role.

Interestingly, however, the airline has not stipulated minimum application requirements such as age, gender or swimming ability.

To apply for this role, go to the official Riyadh Air careers website and submit an online application. You could then be invited to take part in an online assessment. Riyadh Air is only hiring candidates via its official careers portal so steer clear of any third parties who claim to be working on behalf of the airline.
