The Swiss flag carrier – aptly named SWISS – is planning a massive recruitment campaign over the next six months with plans to recruit around 500 new members of cabin crew between now and March 2020. The airline is actively accepting applications and successful candidates will start training courses from January onwards.
SWISS is currently embarking on the largest fleet renewal programme in its history, including the addition of two more Boeing 777’s to its 90-strong fleet of aircraft. Around half of the new crew vacancies are directly connected with the long-haul aircraft additions.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, this recruitment campaign is the biggest ever staged by the airline in such a short timeframe. But SWISS says it needs to get additional crew trained and ready before the two Boeing 777-300ER’s are delivered to the company next year.
Based out of Zurich airport, candidates will already need to possess the right to live and work in Switzerland to apply for this position. You’ll also need to meet these minimum requirements:
- At least 18-years old
- A minimum height of 158cm
- Fit, healthy and height in proportion to weight
- Fluent in both German and French
- Educated to at least High School level
SWISS is particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are also fluent in either French, Italian or Spanish. Candidates who are required to undertake compulsory military service must have already completed this before applying.
As SWISS is part of the Lufthansa group, further information about this role can be found on the Be Lufthansa recruitment website here.
