Back in the day, Gulf Air was the Middle East’s largest airline, serving countries throughout the region and even acting as the UAE’s de facto national airline. Of course, a lot has changed since then – the advent of Emirates (born partly out of frustration with the service offered by Gulf Air) turned the Bahrani carrier into a shadow of its former self.
Still, the airline continues to fly to 49 destinations across 26 countries including Europe, the Far East and a strong presence in the Indian subcontinent. Its fleet of 40 aircraft is going through a transformation with five Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner’s and two Airbus A320NEO aircraft to be delivered to the airline by the end of 2018.
Gulf Air has always employed a lot of mainly female expat cabin crew and the airline is continuing this tradition with recruitment events to be held in Croatia and Estonia during November and December 2018. Recruitment Open Day’s will be held at the following locations and are open for all to attend:
Croatia – Zagreb
10th and 11th November 2018

While we say these recruitment events are open to any interested candidates, it should be noted that Gulf Air has previously advertised a maximum age limit – in the past, this was set at 29-years old although no such limitation has at least been advertised for these recruitment events.

More than 2,000 cabin crew currently work for Gulf Air – with expat crew hailing from more than 60 different countries. All of Gulf Air’s crew are based in Bahrain’s capital, Manama and are offered company provided accommodation.
The airline is looking for candidates who can deliver the “traditional warm Arabian hospitality” that the airline is looking for. Key skills include interpersonal, diversity and cultural awareness skills, customer service experience and assertiveness.
If you’re not currently living in Croatia or Estonia then you can still apply for one of these Open Day’s but you should be aware that Gulf Air may prioritise candidates who come from these two countries. Further Open Day’s in other countries are expected to be announced soon.
