Virgin Australia is currently accepting applications to join its cabin crew team at stations across Australia and New Zealand. The application window opened at the end of July and will remain open until the 31st August 2018.
There are positions available for both domestic and international cabin crew based in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne as well as short-haul opportunities available in Auckland. The airline currently isn’t looking for crew to join its regional operation.
This is the second time in the last 6-months that Virgin Australia has run a cabin crew recruitment drive but as ever, we expect the competition to be incredibly fierce. Interested candidates can submit an application via Virgin Australia’s official careers website.
As well as being at least 18-years old and having either Australian or New Zealand citizenship / permanent residency, you’ll also need to meet the following minimum criteria:
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- Able to reach a height of 180cm
- No taller than 187cm
- Physically fit and a confident swimmer
You’ll also need to live within 2-hours of your chosen base and be able to attain a First Aid and CPR certificate as well as an RSA certificate before your first day of training. Virgin Australia is also particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have language skills in Mandarin or Cantononse.
As always, Virgin Australia is looking for cabin crew who take “the safety and well-being of our guests and fellow crew as a priority.” You’ll also need to prove you can exceed customer expectations, communicate effectively, work well within a team and, of course, work a demanding year-round roster with early starts and late finishes.
If this sounds like an opportunity that you can’t miss, then you can submit an application with an updated CV on Virgin Australia’s official career website.
