Here’s a really exciting opportunity for experienced cabin crew who want a new challenge based out of Heathrow Airport in West London. The Scandinavian airline, SAS is expanding its subsidiary, SAS Ireland and is currently recruiting new cabin crew right now.
If you’ve got at least 12-month’s experience working as cabin crew on either an Airbus A320 series aircraft or Boeing 737 and you hold a valid EASA cabin crew attestation then this could be a brilliant opportunity for you.
Recruitment and aviation outsourcing specialists, CAE Parc Aviation will be offering longterm, permanent contracts to successful candidates who will be employed by CAE but work exclusively for SAS Ireland.
The Irish registered airline has its own air operators certificate (AOC) separate from SAS and was set up as an ACMI carrier (a leasing agreement that provides: aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance) to exclusively compliment SAS mainline services. The idea that over time broader route network can be grown across Europe.
SAS set up the new subsidiary in February 2017 and it first started flying late last year. It’s now become the fastest expanding cabin crew team at Heathrow, offering work on brand new aircraft with a competitive pay and benefits package and an attractive ‘5 on, 4 off’ roster.
What’s even better, is that unlike other short-haul carriers, SAS Ireland offers crew night-stops every month and a brand new company culture – described by serving cabin crew as having a “family” feel.
If this sounds like a good match for you, then you do need to be aware of a few minimum requirements:
- You’ll need to be at least 18 years old
- Already hold a 5-year EASA cabin crew medical certificate
- Have the right to live and work permanently in the EU
- Hold an unrestricted European passport
- Between 160cm – 190cm tall
- A confident swimmer – able to swim 50 metres and tread water for at least three minutes.
As well as these requirements, you’ll also need to be able to pass rigorous security vetting procedures and be fluent in both spoken and written English. Finally, you can’t have any visible tattoo’s or body piercing which “can’t be covered discreetly”.
Remember also, that CAE Parc Aviation can only accept applications from candidates with previous A320 or 737 experience, who also hold an EASA cabin crew attestation.
If you consider yourself to be “customer orientated and empathetic”, able to “thrive in a fast work paced environment” and “have high resistance to stress” then CAE Crewing Services could be looking for you.
You can apply online via the official CAE Parc Aviation recruitment website, with shortlisted candidates invited to take part in video and telephone interviews. An Assessment Day will be held on 3rd April for the very best candidates so you better act quickly to stand a chance!
