Now in its 80th year and with 30,000 employees worldwide, Canada’s flag carrier Air Canada is hiring new Cabin Crew. If you’re a Canadian passport holder and are at least 18 years of age, this could be a fantastic opportunity to achieve your dream to become Cabin Crew. Applications are set to close on 16th April.
Air Canada flies to over 200 destinations across six continents and is Canada’s largest airline. In February, Air Canada unveiled a bold new look for its latest generation of brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Flight attendants also got a new look with updated uniforms designed by Canadian fashion designer, Christopher Bates.
“As brand ambassadors who travel around the world it is important that Air Canada employees feel stylish, confident and comfortable in their uniforms as they take care of millions of customers every year,” commented Bates.
Air Canada is looking for exceptional candidates that can live up its high standards. In 2014, Air Canada won the award for Best Flight Attendants in North America for the third consecutive year in a row by Premier Traveler magazine. The airline was also named the fourth Best Airline in North America at the Business Traveller Awards 2016.
Priority for Bilingual Candidates
Candidates who are fluent in both English and French will be given priority but the airline is also seeking flight attendants who are bilingual in English and any of the following languages: Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Portuguese, Greek, Danish, Dutch, Hindi, Punjabi and Turkish.
Requirements
You’ll be expected to be a ‘people person’ who is “dedicated to creating a safe and highly enjoyable travel experience.” You’ll go above and beyond to deliver a memorable customer experience and represent the airline to the highest standards. And you’ll also take safety seriously and have the ability to deal with challenging situations.
Here are some of the other minimum requirements:
- You must be a Canadian passport holder to apply for this position.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school graduation diploma or equivalent.
- Able to travel unrestricted to all Air Canada destinations.
- Previous experience in the hospitality or customer service sectors isn’t essential but Air Canada is looking for candidates who can prove some type of customer service experience.
The position is open at the following bases: Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver – If successful, you would be required to relocate.
